I found this in www.threegmobile.net
It shows that 7200 65k TFT(128x128) is much more brighter and provides much colourful that the 6600 screen(176x208)...
Is this real?....does this apply to the 6230 screen too???
Left is the original 7200 picture while right is the edited 6600 picture. The colour and sharpness is just about digitally enhancing it only.. nothing to do with the optics..

Sometimes it's not the resolution that matters, but it's the color quality and LCD quality that matters alot.
Also the SGH-E700's LCD although 65K in 128X160 res,can outbeat most other HI-END models in photo display capabilities.
Another is the Inno90,it's LCD is 262K TFT colors in 128X160 res,but can produce clearer and more vibrant images to the E700,yet both are with the same resolutions!
It's the design quality that matters alot

Ah Tu!@ng Man,
If your photos are going to be uploaded and displayed in your PC,than your phone's software has to be good for picture quality.

ya I know...but what's the point u mention this??...of course I am searching for a good camera phone...that is why I go for 6600 currently...that is why i post this thread and compare the photo quality taken by different phones....

Okay,Okay,I know that, but you try to show me those pictures that has been uploaded into the PC to be displayed here,so that has got nothing to do with LCD screens on the 6600 and 7200!
It has got to do with your phone's software!
So I'm telling basically you this above

O,I seeeee,
And if you take LCD displays seriously, make sure it's TFT type with 65K colors and above, and the res 128X128 and above, anything below this standard is not consider superior!
But the best thing it to view the displays live, not in the internets, because it's going to be deceiving especially you won't know what type of Digital cam is used for taking those photos

Not all the 65k TFT has the same quality....of course I wish to have a best one...
as u can see from the photo I posted...7200 65k TFT with 128x128 is much more better than 6600 65k TFT 176x208....
But...I think the 6600 screen in that photo is not set to the correct brightness...since my 6600 screen looks much much sharp and briliant compare the one in the photo....
any idea??

Could be also, unless the 128X128 res 65K TFT LCD in the 7200 is the improved or advance type that is being develope by Korea.
Anyway, you can't actually compare your real 6600 with the photo of LCD displays in your PC,because the lighting could be different, the exposure could be long or shot, and the data convertion could overall easily affect the photos!
Maybe the Nokia 7200 has a brighter backlight, because that also make dramatic differences

I don't think so.

Why you don't think so,what have you got to add?

What I mean is I don't think the backlight has anything to do with how sharp and clear the image is.

tulang man, i'll go for teh second picture (6600 was it?)... why?.. while the 7200 looks sharper.. that can be solved from the 6600's picture... but if you noticed in the 7200's picture, the colour is off and all... and TOO sharp.. like digitally enhanced to make it 'look' better only...

u mean u prefer a blurer pic but not a sharper pic??

would you want a very sharp and 'fake' looking picture?.. or a nice and smoothed out picture?...
You know what i mean...
When it's too digitally enchanced... it'll look fake and ugly... i'm just trying to say that the 6600's image can look like the 7200's picture which shows that they're using the same optics but with different digital system...

Just go to any computer shops around and you can pick it up.. I use Corel PhotoPaint which is a pograms in Corel Draw or something... more people are using Adobe Photoshop... similar...
What i did was just sharpen the image, and i slowly removed some of the 'noise' manually... took some time..
