k its been about 1 week since the 6600 has offically been realesed
for the first week it was for
583$
and now its for
450$
for just one week , this is a lot of price drop .
this phone just being around 1 week old , has been avalible in "used" market also and is just for 400-450$ .
when asked to a user y was he selling , he told us tht :-
"this phone suks.... , the screen is same old , tones are also same , only a different casing thts all . "
so this phone is a flop or wat i dunno but by the way things going on over here , it looks like it is ......
Less than 24hrs ago, I bought a N6600 for S$698 without line or contract (after trading in a N8310)!
I m a very happy man!!!
The special promotion would last only 2 days... sat 22nd n sun 23rd Nov.
However, I feel that the ringtone is a little bit too soft to my liking. Maybe bcoz I m new to it?

Many users from France, Germany, UK, etc. have problems with this phone. Too many bugs... Probably Nokia will make a software update soon. But the really bad thing about Nokia 6600 is that the phone is slower than 3650 or 7650.

Exactly, and plenty of people think the same way. To date, I've seen about 15 people carrying 6600s since it was launched here, but on the contrary, I've yet to see a single Z600 around, despite the latter being launched earlier.

Now is nearly 7pm Sunday already n today is the LAST DAY! Promotion is only 2 days (yesterday n today).
The phone without trade-in is S$898 (no contract, nothing... just cash n carry).

I'd rate the phone very high (abt 8+ outta 10) but I also wanna share some bad pts....
I've downloaded 2 songs (polyphonic) so far n whenever I downloaded them, the phone volume goes way way down! I cannot listen to the song I downloaded straight-away. I had to hard-reset (switch off n take out batt n try again) once or else the volume forever very low.
Also, the alarm somehow seems a bit low volume for my liking. Cant seem to make it louder either!
As for waiting of 6230 or not, I had similar thoughts also. However, pls note that this is the only ph in 6mths' time (with Symbian OS n MMC) that I really like. N6230 is good but no Symbian OS whereas 2 other Nokia monsters are rather ugly...
Just my thoughts tho.........
