What do you want to see this year?

What phone are you waiting for to be presented by Nokia at Cebit or later, new releases or updated version?

I want to see a small and stylish Samsung clamshell phone (like E700) with fully implemented BT, uncrippled Infra-red, flash, >9mb dynamic memory (), VGA camera, video recording WITH sound, high resolution internal screen (65k or 262k, doesn't matter which), 65k outer screen with picture ID and voice recognition.
And if PC software is needed, then a much better alternative to EasyGPRS!

i wanna see Nokia do a proper clamshell with internal qvga screen and a respectable external 4k/65k external screen. megapixel camera outside/vga camera inside, bluetooth, ir, gprs, edge, umts, externally accessible SD slot, mp3/mpeg4 player/recorder, no antenna and made of titanium with parts of leather.

More likely they will name it 6820i (expand memory and vga camera). If sales figures are low they will just drop it. S700 will be available july/august/sept - much earlier than xmas - I have very firm confirmation on that. 8xxx design is amazing, far better than the mess that was 7210. No nokia will have S700 specs, but they will all be smaller and I assume better RF. Every new nokia will use new CPU subsystems that gives very fast menus and less buggy bluetooth etc.

There will be a new metal Nokia. Interestingly it is something that will borrow a material from vertu line..not sure if they will show with the 8xxx or later in the year seperately after 8xxx has saturated market. Nokia were extremely pleased with 8910 mechanism and won't be deviating too far from that..

Many of the new models = push-to-talk.

There will be some cheaper models that *still* use the rubbish STN colour series 40, but only a few.

BTW, Nokia has a series 65 8xxx also, but that will come out a long time from now, so may not be at Cebit. That one will have some specs better than S700. Series 65 is their true 3G line (along with series 45), most of that stuff will rollout early next year, very far off, but worth mention. Series65 are all 320x240 displays with 1.3/2mp cameras. Long time away however, and names may change. Check back then

also, 8100 and 8800 are initial guides, I do not know if their marketing has made further changes - I expect they have not but they can easily change these things at last minute (that is why they never print model on phone case). Specs should be OK though.

Why is it a dream.. those are the specs of the sharp gx30, plus umts support, another camera, edge and a fancier design.

Do you know, or do you hope?
I hope! Not that I am in a position to buy a new mobile phone anytime soon... that is unless of course I win my trial in court and get the payment I was supposed to receive over a year ago... but that's another story.
