can we please post all things related to the Nokia 6230 in this thread??? the nokia section of the forum is getting cluttered with many different threads about the 6230
Maybe the mp3 skips if you use MMC more than 128mb or incompatible ones, mine doesn't
but i use the 32md MMC that came with it and I have only 7 aac files and lots of jpeg files, I'm palnning to get a 256mb or 512mb but I don't know what brand to use....PQI, Twinmoss, SanDisk???
Also its very hard swapping files (mp3, AAC, somtimes jpeg & gif) using PC (with billionton BT class 1) and Phone via bluetooth it starts giving me an headache
.
Mine doesn't squeak I got the china version, maybe the sqeak comes from the contact of the fingers to the keypad but not really sure about that
why did nokia didn't place any cover for the pop port, those things gets rusty easily, I have to wipe it with oil very often
There's also a thread saying there is a new firmware v3.15 ,but my service center still has the v3.14
yeah i saw the post, maybe there is something wrong the way he transfers files, because sometimes when I transfer an AAC file to the phone which is very hard via bluetooth there is one song that kinda skipped at the beginning but the rest is ok, even when transferring jpeg files via BT there photos are not complete. so that's why I'm planning to get a USB datacable soon as I get my new MMC
Yes you can
. I use AAC format because they take up less memory space than MP3 which means more music
.
I'm using dBpowerAMP Music converter, Install at your own risk but it works just fine with my pc, here's the link hopefully it will work;
http://download.com.com/3000-2140-10...ml?tag=lst-0-1
also; before you can convert MP3 to AAC or any sound format you must get the proper codecs for it at this site http://www.dbpoweramp.com

is it true, as JensonF1 said, that the phone's mp3 player skips around every 10 seconds?
is it true, as somebody i forgot said, that the squeaky buttons problem can be solved by shoving a tissue in the backcover?
that's all from me for now...

how do playlists actually work? i tried making a playlist (.m3u) but it's just a series of shortcuts referring to those songs... which won't work on the phone because the shortcuts have nothing to point to
do you have to transfer it directly using the PC Suite Audio Manager? that would suck... cuz i have a cardreader

Heard about some problems for the Asian version:
1. Echo when talking on the phone.
2. Difficulty connecting to iPac using Bluetooth (i use iPac 3870)
3. Some problem with assigning tones to caller groups.
4. Lastly .. How to check the firmware version??
Anyone faces problems 1~3 ? Has it been solved? Planning to get one but scared of the bugs.
Thanks.
