Nokia 6108 IR question

Hello, I have recently purchased a Nokia 6108 which so far i am very happy with. The handwriting recognition is much better than I had expected from a low cost phone. I have been trying to send an image file (.jpg) to my phone from my HP IPAQ 5450, the file is only 18kb but it continuously fails to send (i have successfully sent contacts over IR and both devices are seeing each other). Is it possible to do this? I wondered if the phone did not allow such files to be sent? __________________ did you use a program to do this? if not, use Mobimb or Nokia PC suite for this, very good. but i think the IPAQ is an PDA, and i don't know these programs work on that platform... there are made for Windows XP, but you can try out... www.logomanager.co.uk and www.nokia.com for PC suite __________________ thanks for the reply. Nokia 6230 not in shops until Quarter 3...

...is my prediction. This is from someone who waited nearly a year for the Nokia 6220 which was supposedly going to be out January 2003 and never reached stores until November 2003. Nokia put early release dates on their phones to stop people buying the competitors phones. Anyone want to bet against me? Is your 6600 the same?

Hello. Something I just wanted to know if normal. If you tilt your 6600 to the side when the backlight is on, do you see about a 1cm "strip" of light about half way up on the left, and if you tip it right a duller strip of light on the right? I'm sure this isn't anything, but just wondered if you also had this? Regards, __________________ Some light is always visible through the sides where the cover meets the body. Thanks. __________________ Many of the 6600 have the same thing on the phone...my 6600 has too...definitely same as yours...you posted the same thread in my6600.net right?...I got the information from there too...many user showing the same opinions.... __________________ its where the shell is tighten to the body of the phone. if u lift it up gently u can remove the cover and replace it with another. Its the clip holding the piceases togheter thats the light ur seeing and completly normal.

Infrared Connection problem...

I am having problem to connect my 6600 to my pc by using infrared device...all the settings are done...pc suit had been installed...so...I activate the infrared of my 6600....get close to the infrared device of my pc...finally...both my 6600 and pc are connected...however...problem comes... after both are connected...I can't send any files to my 6600...when I try to transfer any file to my 6600...the connection will cut off automatically... Sometimes...it even restart my 6600 automatically...what is going on?...can anyone help???
