Hello I have trying to connect Nokia 7250 and IBM Thinkpad T30 via the Infrared but nothing. I have downloaded the new pc suit 5.16 from Nokia. Could anyone help me out here Thanks __________________ Is your IR activated on your Thinkpad (and on your mobile)... Normaly, if you activate IR on your 7250 and put your mobile in the radius (+/- 30cm) of your reciever it's showing on screen 'connected to Nokia 7250' on your PC. therefor you don't need PCsuite for connection, you need pc suite to interact between PC and Mobile... __________________ Hello, Thanks, nothing happen no connect between the pc and 7250, so i download and installed the pc suit 5.16, tried with the DKU-5 Data cable too (which say nok 6100 on the cable but came with nokia 6610) , nothing is working. is there a IrDA setting or something. Thanks __________________ if you have windows (probably you do) go to configuration and click on System > Hardware > Hardware control (the second line second icon) and see in the list if IR is installed: if not got to Configuration again and then click on (Add) hardware; and normaly he finds the IR gateway and installs it... If not let him find the IR device (normaly you can select it from a list...) If not, go to a computer expert... ![]() Mavi forum |

Password for the MMC
Hi all! I have a Nokia 6600. Yesterday i bought a memorycard-reader, for my memorycard. But i found that i've a password for the memorycard. How do i remove the password? I've forgotten the password, so i dunno how to do. I need to write the old password to remove or change the password. But i dunno what it is. It's the original memorycard at 32 MB. /klibbe Mavi forum |

6230 and transfer speed
I've ordered the 6230, and i'll be getting it around the end of this month. What i wonder is how fast data transfer between the phone and the pc is with DKU-2 data cable? I've ordered a 512MB MMC-card for it, but i dont want to spend all day and night transfering mp3's, so i was thinking about ordering an external MMC card reader/writer too... Any thoughts about that? Also, what nokia stereo headset is the best? I was thinking about modding one of those by replasing the ear-phones with some better plugs... But hopefully i dont need that...? __________________ What the...? Who are you ordering this from to have it by the end of the month, considering it's only a week away? The 6230 comes with a stereo headset. __________________ I live in Norway. All the webshops expects they'll have em in stock by the end of this month. Information about 7250i
Hi, that is my first post and i would like to know if someone can help me in some questions: 1-i will buy a new phone and i choose 7250i but i read about 3200 and i dont know if 7250i is much better than 3200 whats the vantages for 7250i? 2-the 7250i made quikmoves like the 3200? thnks for now Leonardo Gioia __________________ http://www.nokia.com/phones/comparep...50i&phone=3200 just go to that Link, and you know the major differences... You have to keep in mind that those 2 devices has 2 different targets, the 3200 is a cheap expression phone for the youth and the 7250(i) is a phone more expencive fashion series, for demanding users... the 7250 is build with better equitment that the 3200, that's also can explane the device differences... 2. ? what do you mean with quikmoves??? __________________ actually there is not much differenct between both phones(both are low quality phones in my mind)...if you dun care about the design...go for 3200 cos it is much cheaper...however...both phones are ugly in my mind...both are not worth to buy...(just my own opinion) Mavi forum |

Nokia 6230
Uhm... I'm debating on whether to buy a SE T630 or wait for the Nokia 6230 to come out... Not sure still... Any suggestions? Also, you might think I'm stupid, but I've just had a horrible idea: Is the 6230 a 3G phone? It says it can do Video capture, viewing, download, streaming (according to the Nokia website). When compared to the Nokia 7600 which is a 3G phone, it seems to have the same features. What defines a 3G phone from a smart phone? Or are they the same? ![]() I'm only wondering because if it is a 3G phone, it will come out on the 3 network in the UK, and I don't think much of their reception or price plans at the moment. And finally, does anyone have any idea as to how much the Nokia 6230 will cost when it does come out in the UK? I apologise in advance for my retardedness. ![]() __________________ OK ignore that. ^ I just spoke to T-Mobile UK. They said the Nokia 6230 is likely to be released in April, however they are still reviewing it and this is not definite. If the phone was to be released on T-Mobile it would be availiable on Pay Monthly only, not on Pay as you go. No idea on prices though. __________________ dun aspect too much on 6230...it is not as good as u think...especially about its screen... __________________ What do you mean? Isn't it TFT 65K? OK the 128x128 is smaller than the T630 at 128x160 ... __________________ No, the nokia 6230 is not an 3G phone, WCDMA is the first step to 3G, and the 6230 is only EDGE, and thats almost 3g, i think thats starting to be fine for downloading but not speed enough for streaming... __________________ Not all the 65k TFT screen are the same...plus...128x128 is not enough for clear graphics... Has it really been around from 1998,we had the 8210 over here for sale a couple years back, but never the 8250..thats why we all thought it was a new phone..thanks for correcting me.. ![]() __________________ I have seen some 8250's around...I *think* my dealer has some left, no idea of the price, but yes, it is a rather old phone now and I don't think it's sold anymore. It was superceded by the 8310. __________________ 8310 is already phased out too...only recon set and second hand set are available in the market... ![]() __________________ 8310 is quite cool with the blue lights and small size. Sum of my friends still have it. __________________ 8250 and 8310 has been replaced by 6610 and 6100...these 2 models are seen everywhere... __________________ i assume we are talking about the same phone..as americans call the 8250 a 8270...??? And they call an 8210 a 8260....??? __________________ stuart30 i believe americans have a updated version of 8250 called 8290 its the same size but a different keypad and design slightly Tu!@ng Man actually nokia intended the 7210 to be the 8310 successor but 7210 didnt really sell that great __________________ Strange to hear 8250 just being around... ![]() I got one, and I bought it around 1998 also... ![]() But in my country some phone shops still selling brand new N8250, and have to say it is still expensive... USD 127.50... ![]() __________________ I would never have thought that this phone has been made since 1998..still i like it. http://www.nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,,27122,00.html And it is listed as still being a current phone on the nokia site... __________________ I think you'll find it's not a "current" phone, more like "here is a phone we used to make, this is what it looked like". You'll probably also see the 3210 on there as well, and they stopped making those years ago. __________________ Hmm well if you know more than nokia, think they would know..as there the ones selling..still never mind. __________________ __________________ hmm well i agree that the 3210 is no longer for sale in uk,but even the 3310 is still available to buy new..pay as u go and on contract.....so it must simply depend what country you live in to weither the phone is available new...lets face it england being the best country in the world,it stands to reason that im rite.....lmao. __________________ Uh-huh. I didn't say I know more than Nokia, but consider the fact that several other people here apart from me (all around the world) have said "the 8250 is an old phone"...it may just be that your particular network supplier/shop hasn't come across it yet. __________________ More than likely..cant disagree with several people, point im making is its new to us brits...thats what i was meaning.! __________________ Fair enough then. Having said that tho, I have seen a few Brits with 8250's before...? __________________ hmm cant say i have, although there is a few just started coming on ebay.uk at the moment..anyone heard of the nokia 666,thats coming out soon...devilishly nice....lmao. __________________ Quote:
