Does it have infra red ?
Does it support SMTP/POP3/IMAP4 and WAP 2.0 XHTML ?
When exactly would it be released ?
How much would it cost ?
How is it like if it was compared to N6600 ?
No it's NOT
Check model number before posting any nonsense
Then you'd better come and check it once again.
Want to convince me? Tell me it's SW version. If it is so easy - just punch in *#0000#...
...because there is no even candidate SW for it yet.
Well, there is one option I can think of... what you've seen there is actually "Non-working sample. Made in China". Plain plastic.
the answer to most of your questions!!!
thats the website of nokia
you can also compare phone-features there...
Right, it is not up to me, but I'll be one of the first to know

No Infrared port, only BT and USB
POP3/IMAP4/SMTP/WAP/XHTML supported over TCP/IP
Nobody knows when EXACTLY it will be released, but expected quite soon, should be in shops by June.
More than 6600 when its sales started
Next evolution compares to 6600, consider it stylish version of advanced 6600

that could be you as well... visiting CeBit in Hanover. Does that mean it has been released in Germany?
So, what was the SW version? ... after checking "it's menu system"? All right, no need to answer, you have no clue, you've never seen that phone yourself live.
All that story about "toy samples" makes me think about stolen protos, not stable enough for anything else but playing ringtones... unless it is just a funny story to impress someone.
Maybe I don't understand something about that part of the world and selling prototypes with "PROTO. NOT FOR SALE" sticker on 'em is just ok there... well it is up to the local laws and people's conscience...
BUT
anyway, I would not call that a RELEASE
3 stolen protos is not a release, providing that "3" is also true, not yet another made up story.
When it will be released, by Nokia, not by some shop keeper - I'll tell you.
As of now it is NOT true.

hey hey... no need to get nasty... it's stupid but it could be true and it's not up to YOU to judge that
but i agree that it's pretty stupid... a toy sample that plays games and ringtones =S i wouldn't even waste money on that

actually there are a few 7610s for sale in black market here in istanbul as well. i sure don't know whether they are prototypes or some other stuff but it's smuggled in a way and you can buy it.
nokia did not officially release the phone but smugglers always get a hold of new models a few months in advance, so let's please be careful before blaming other members about NOT telling the truth.

OK, I am not blaming anyone, I only tried to say that it has not been RELEASED.
Would you but a ... cheese two month before it has become a cheese? Same applies to a phone. If it has not been released 2 months ago it means that it was not usable at that time. 2 months in sales is a hell lot of money...
BTW, it may never work in real network, so if you are lucky you can buy a "toy sample" :-)

Alright guys just calm down. The fact of the matter is Nokia 7610 is indeed NOT OFFICIALLY released. I know it because I have some friends who work for Nokia and they themselves have not heard anything about it another than it's gonna be out sometime in late June or early July. Just like everyone of you I'm eagerly waiting for it as well but I'm not gonna buy the 'first batch' as they often encounter problems something even the 'Nokians' agree upon. So I'm just gonna wait for about a month or two if I can wait that long before i purchase it. Remember Nokia comes out with a new Symbian smartphone every 8-9months. So you can expect the next one after 7610 to be out sometime in Febuary Or March 2005 :-) oh just in case you don't know I'm from Singapore.
