Help on 3300 ! plz
Hi i got 3300 and am very satisfied with it but i wonder if i can put in pictures from my computer and use as background ? I have been trying but havent been able to accomplish it... if you know how plz help ![]() __________________ connect phone to computer with IR (might that datacable works also)... and use a program like mobimb or nokia pc suite to upload pictures to the gallery map and then select the wanted picture and set as background... __________________ kristof.vanriet IR port on Nokia 3300?? And Nokia PC Suite?? Sounds great, but unfortunately it is not so easy.. Galatasaray There is a cable to connect your phone to PC. Standard Nokia DKU-2 cable as well, as DKU-5 cable for Nokia 3300 doesn't suit for data syncrhonization between the very mobile phone and PC. The problem is, that Nokia 3300 is not one device - it is two different devices in one frame: 1) Hybrid device of MP3 player and MMC card reader 2) Phone section itself POP port is not anyhow physically connected with the phone section in this model and you can only manage MMC cards (DKU-2 and DKU-5 cables) and MP3 files (DKU-2 cable) using standard 3300 POP port. The only way to access phone section is to use technological F-Bus cable, which connects under the phone's battery. Note: this type of connection is unofficial and may be recognized as the reason for cancelling phone's warranty in official Nokia service centre. As for the programs: Nokia PC Suite doesn't support any 3-rd party cables, so you need to use MobiMB or Oxygen Phone Manager II. __________________ Hello, I m from India I m plannin to buy 3300 as i want mp3 ringtone, fm and color screen also i would like to transfer wallpapers n songs from my pc to mobile and i have heard that this model fulfills my needs (also at comparative lower cost than engage) but from this thread i came to know that u r not able to transfer images into mobile if this is an issue..then i will have to think again please reply...wat should i do? thanks in advance Mavi forum |

Could not install applications to Nokia 6600
I just got my Nokia 6000 yesterday. I downloaded some trial versions of applications (eg. Worldmate from MobiMAte's website) but when I transfer the sis file to my Nokia 6600 via infrared, the installer would run but immediately exits back to my inbox. I could not install the application. Although I could install and run some other applications. I could not also install Psiloc applications. Is there anybody here that have any idea what's wrong? Is there an incompatibility with the applications and my phone? I just got my phone yesterday and I need to check for applications that i could run on it. My phone is on V 4.09.1 26-02-04 NHL-10. Thank you. __________________ try to use pcsuit and send the sis files to your phone...dun get the sis files to the inbox by not using pcsuit... __________________ I think Psiloc apps never worked on 6600... There are some compatibility issues between 6600 running Symbian 7.0s and older applications designed for Symbian 6.x phones. 6600 does what is called "best effort" to run legacy apps... BTW, Worldmate works fine for me - I copied downloaded file to MMC card and then started installer with FileManager __________________ i can send .sis file to my phone using bluetooth.... all can install... __________________ I managed to install applications thru PcSuite but the drawback is that I can't remove or uninstall applications. Any ideas? This phone is starting to get on my nerves. __________________ as a last resort you can resore factory settings or format user area ... probably you'll re-gain your ability to install/uninstall, but you'll loose your data, so backup somehow first __________________ Once you know how everything works on a symbian phone you be pleased... In the beginning it's just looking how everything works out... A very good tip is reading the userguide... they give it with you for a reason, everything is explaned in it... but if you don't wanna look it up or if you are to lazy, here is a part copy-paste from user guide about removing a program; Removing an application (Application Manager) 1. To remove an application, scroll to it and select Options¡ú Remove. 2. Press Yes to confirm the removal. Important: If you remove an application, you can only re-install it if you have the original application or a full backup of the removed application. If you remove an application, you may no longer be able to open documents created with that application. If another application depends on the application that you removed, the other application may stop working. Refer to the documentation of the installed application for details. __________________ Thanks for the vote of confidence Kristof! I'm starting to believe that you are not really from nokia. hehehe (joke only) Of course I used the application manager (unless there's another way of uninstalling an application that i don't know). When I remove an application (using application manager), a window opens up saying removing.... then immediately exits back. It won't just go. Anyway, I'll try to format this nice piece of **** and if that did not work, maybe a nokia service center is my last resort. Seriously, I still do love this phone! (except for the not so really nice and not loud enough speakers). Thanks guys! Mavi forum |

Nokia Fun Camera
Does she a good one? Does she worth the money? I would happy to hear some impressions.. Thanks! __________________ not worthy to buy... not good quality pictures, and slow uploading pictures to mobile and picture to pc... __________________ but how does it upload to the pc directly... cos i heard is must transfer to the phone then from the phone to the pc... __________________ Indeed pictures need to be first uploaded to the phone, and then again download from the phone to pc... __________________ i agree with kristof.vanriet. i had that camera for my former 7210 and the picture quality was really crappy during the day and even worse at night. neither worth your money or time. if you seriously want to take reasonable pictures you should go for a 6600 or 6230 or even better wait for a 7610 or SE K700. these latter two will have over 1 megapixel picture quality.
