How Can I Unlock A Network-locked Phone?

i am planning to buy the 3660. the phone is cheaper in one network but the problem is, that network has very weak signal in our place. i'm planning to buy the phone then unlock it (we call that open-line here in the philippines). do i have other options? can i do that "unlocking" by myself if i'd buy a data cable? is there a downloadable software that can help me in unlocking the phone? __________________ there is software for that, and the best is, you don't need any cabel, this is what you have to do...
