N6100 >> " My Design "
Hello people and Merry X-mas to all. I was just checking out my Nokia 6100 and what I liked so much about it's design, is that the dial keys are not just 12 seperate keys, but that the 2 outher rows have this "extension" to make them "blend" with the middle row. I wondered how it would look like without that blend, so I wemt and editted a pic of it. Now the dial keys remind me of the N6510 or maybe N65xx for other countries. Here's 3 versions I made, just for fun. (I did they rather quickly so the details might not be 100% smooth and stuff. __________________ thats cool ![]() __________________ The second one looks weird... __________________ i cant see the pics..... ![]() __________________ Quote:
__________________ sorry, no pictures to see either for me __________________ HMm yes, but now it's something else. Seems the whole server is offline. __________________ i can only c half of the second one now... __________________ i was able 2 c it first time i read this thread but it's been gone since then.......... __________________ OK they are on a new server now: (and I addad a 3rd design) __________________ I reckon the call keys of the third onw with the number keys of the first one would be the best, the number keys are too close in the 3rd one. __________________ i like the first design.... ![]() __________________ Quote:
__________________ don u shud so be a designer 4 nokia! show em how its don!! __________________ the most difficult thing about designing a phone are the key's 1 to # are most of the time no problem but the rest is quiet hard to make it look nice, more the like special but usefull. I've tried to make some designs, based upon excisting devices and i allways had some difficulty's with the keypath... __________________ Quote:

How do I transfer .mp3 files from PC to N6600?
I transfered as per normal (Right Click, Send To... Nokia 6600) but the .mp3 file went into the message inbox n I cant seem to relocate it. Altho my bluetooth device is working fine, I cannot seem to connect it with PC Suite... cannot select the connection type. Pls help. Thx! __________________ Hi, can I ask where you downloaded the Mp3 software for n6600? and I think if you click on settings on ur pc, contol panel, and there u should see the n6600 pc suite, click on that and it will give u different options on how to connect ur 6600 to your pc. u probably knew this already but hey! __________________ This is the website where I downloaded the MP3 player software. http://www.aivanet.com/en/index.php?show=6 The site also contains many more software for grabs! Altho the softwares are for Serie 60, not all are compatible with my N6600... U should take a look at the site. As for Nokia PC Suite, I have already tried that method and when I am inside Connection Manager to change the connection type, it says: "Media type is not supported. Check your system for media settings." I just cant seem to select the Bluetooth connection option. (My USB bluetooth is working fine n I can transer software to my phone... goes into message inbox) Now, I got 2 problems: 1. Cannot get the PC Suite running (coz cannot choose bluetooth connect type) 2. How do u transfer .mp3 files so that it wont go to INBOX, or after it goes into inbox how do u transfer/relocate it? Rigo, thx for your input tho... but I still cant get to the right path! ![]() |

As I said that there's emulator for Nokia Communicator running on Symbian OS 6.0 and for Series 60 running on Symbian OS 6.1 and 7.0s. These are available at Forum Nokia website I stated earlier. Also Sony Ericsson has an emulator for UIQ phones. Symbian doesn't deliver UI part of the OS and every vendor has to implement their own UI or license it from someone. That's the reason why they also don't deliver emulators, but the vendors do. |

If got pc suite, but where can I download ringtones?
If got download pc suite from nokia.com. But where can I find ringtones to download them. And then I want to upload them white pc suite in my telephone, If got a nokia 7210. __________________ There's quite a few sites with rintones with preview (well pre-hear actually) option. Of course more and more of these sites realized people preview the .mid files and then scoop em out of the temp. internetfolder, so more and more sites use .mp3 or embed them in .swf (Flash) files. Then you need a datacable or if your PC/Notebook has infrared you can use that (that's about the only thing usefull for the infrared port) Still wonder why even between Nokia's themselves you can't swap ringtones and images. __________________ You cannot move ringtones from one phone to another due to the DRM, (copyright) Just to a search for MIDI in google and you will find loads of sites, then just use the sound converter within Pc Suite and Fannys your mums sister! Nokia 3310
This must have been the most popular phone in the UK, a year ago everybody had this phone, including me, i guess it's had its day, the 3510i does not live up to much though. __________________ Same thing in my country __________________ many ppl still have 3310 in australia but not many have 3510i __________________ I see quite a few 3310's around here, but most people I know either use 3315's or Alcatels. __________________ I had on, untill I lost it in the discotheque. Since it was my 1st "smaller" phone (I had a 5110 before it) I didn't noticed it slipped right out of my pocket when I was sitting. Of course when I realised, it weas gone. It was a good phone. For it's price and being in the 3xxx series, it had quite a bunch of options (like voicedialling, which I have NEVER seen anybody use) But who would like to call out names loud in public. So I don't miss it at all on my new N6100 __________________ i consider 3310/3315 the same fone but the later has picture editor yehoo, lol |

How Can I Unlock A Network-locked Phone?
i am planning to buy the 3660. the phone is cheaper in one network but the problem is, that network has very weak signal in our place. i'm planning to buy the phone then unlock it (we call that open-line here in the philippines). do i have other options? can i do that "unlocking" by myself if i'd buy a data cable? is there a downloadable software that can help me in unlocking the phone? __________________ there is software for that, and the best is, you don't need any cabel, this is what you have to do... Remove the SIMCARD Press # Press * 3 times ( get p) Press * 4 times ( get w) Press * 2 times ( get +) Press code (15 digits), Press * 2 times ( get +), Press lock digit (it´s +1 or +7) & Press # Phone should be unlocked now.!!!!! what are the differences of the 3650 to 3660?
is there a big diff between the 65k colors of 3660 from the 4096 colors of 3650? __________________ i once had a 4K color phone (3510!) and now i have 65K, and i can really tell the difference! the colors are nicer, the display is smoother etc... __________________ bsg2g But you can't really compare the sluggish, horrible Nokia series 40 screens to something like the 3660 for exampel? I mean, those screens are really horrible! The 7650 and 3650 do actually have really nice screens for just being 4K... But I'd say that the 3660 and 6600 screens are even better, not really noticeable unless you view picture IMHO. __________________ and of course a big difference (from the outside) is the keypath layout, a lot of people didn't buy this phone because of the keypath (3650) __________________ other than the 65k screen and the keypad, any other differences between the two phones? how about the quality of the pictures if they are developed? __________________ go to this site and check it out... quality of pictures stay's the same http://www.nokia.com/phones/comparep...660&phone=3650 |

push to talk
if i understand push to talk is some kind of a walkie-talkie function on the 5140, but how does it work practicly, do you need phonenumbers for that? or are you just scanning the area for other mobile push to talk phones? and how will be the cost about that, do you have to pay an operator? are these the same cost of a normal phone call? __________________ It only works if your operator supports it, and currently none do it here in Sweden, and I don't think they do it in other countries yet either. Perhaps the US? However, the cost is as for using GPRS, so it is much cheaper. Hence, the operators won't be to quick to apply this. ![]() __________________ here in israel there is such a function, but only one of the network companies has it, when you buy the phone you give them a certain amount of numbers of phones that also have this function , so a family can buy five phones and talk between themselves for free, but the network company that has this service is the most expensive , and it's the only company that you have to pay a monthly fee.... |
