nokia 6610 screen saver problem...!

i got nokia 6610 but when the screen saver starts to work it appears very pale that u can't see it (any time not in day light)...is it a software problem or a battery problem or what...? can any one help me...? thanks for your reply.... __________________ psychopsycho do u mean the digital clock or an actual gif becoz the best of my knowledge the 6610 cant play gif as a screensaver... __________________ i mean the digital clock... __________________ mine had the same problem maybe its a bug in the software??? i cant help u sorry __________________ Does the 6230 operate a similar screensaver? and can it be turned off? __________________ The Edge i guess the 6230 has it and yes u should be able to turn it off u can on all other series 40 fones __________________ Hmmm...I couldn't on my 6610...but that's a series 30 isn't it? if I understand correctly... __________________ The Edge no 6610 is series 40. i listed all the series 30,40 and 60 fones in an old thread but i mite as well do it again... series 30 = 3510,3510i/3530,6310,6310i,6510 and 8910i series 40 = 3100,3200,3300,5100,(5140),6100,6220,(6230),6610,6 800,(6810/6820)7210,7250,7250i,(7600) series 60 = 3650,6600,7650,n-gage series 90 = (7700) __________________ Well then wtf was up with my 6610? Bad audio quality __________________ ohh ok i c then well i cant help u then __________________ UHm it's NOT a software problem. It's just that the screensaver (clock) when it's displayed, your screen backlight if off. You won't want that light to be on all the time. So yes, the clock can hardly be seen. To see what it looks like WITH light (pretty fine I might say) is to set your screensaver time out less than 10 seconds (about the time the light will stay on when you stopped pressing any buttons/using it) For a couple of seconds you can see the clock very clear with the light on. BUt of course when the light goes off.. AND screensaver should have option to turn off: Settings >>Display Settings >> Screensaver >> OFF __________________ Have question about the 6610: Do you have any indications of lost calls/received SMS on the display? I of course mean after the screensaver starts. __________________ Yes that what this is all about. In screensaver you get a phone icon for missed call(s) and an enveloppe for SMS message(s) According to my manual, there will NOT be an paperclip icon when you get an MMS. __________________ on my 3100 the top left hand corner is keyguard if its locked bottom left corner is silent if activated otherwise it is a telephone signalling a missed call top right hand corner is a envelope signalling a message but that is down in the bottom left corner if i dont have a missed call then bottom right hand corner is a paperclip meaning i have a multimedia msg __________________ My sister has the 6610 and i have the 7250i, the 6610's digital clock seems much paler then mine for some reason, might be the software or something? maybe colour scheme (i dunno if it has anything to do with it)
