It's just that the screensaver (clock) when it's displayed, your screen backlight if off. You won't want that light to be on all the time. So yes, the clock can hardly be seen. To see what it looks like WITH light (pretty fine I might say) is to set your screensaver time out less than 10 seconds (about the time the light will stay on when you stopped pressing any buttons/using it) For a couple of seconds you can see the clock very clear with the light on. BUt of course when the light goes off.. AND screensaver should have option to turn off: Settings >>Display Settings >> Screensaver >> OFF __________________ Have question about the 6610: Do you have any indications of lost calls/received SMS on the display? I of course mean after the screensaver starts. __________________ Yes that what this is all about. In screensaver you get a phone icon for missed call(s) and an enveloppe for SMS message(s) According to my manual, there will NOT be an paperclip icon when you get an MMS. __________________ on my 3100 the top left hand corner is keyguard if its locked bottom left corner is silent if activated otherwise it is a telephone signalling a missed call top right hand corner is a envelope signalling a message but that is down in the bottom left corner if i dont have a missed call then bottom right hand corner is a paperclip meaning i have a multimedia msg __________________ My sister has the 6610 and i have the 7250i, the 6610's digital clock seems much paler then mine for some reason, might be the software or something? maybe colour scheme (i dunno if it has anything to do with it) |

Right now i have the Motorola T720 that phone really sucks! So i am looking after a new phone and kind of like the N3200 and motorola E365! 6600 user question
heylo guys . just brought the 6600 today. have to admit tht its quiet attractive . just a few questions i wanna ask . (1) i applied the theme on the cell . then changed the wallpaper . now when i apply the theme again , i can get the themes original wallpaper back . even when it asks me "do u want to replace original wallpaper" then to it doesnt come . (2) y cant the phone play wav. file as ringtone??? . it played for 1 sec and then nothing .! (3) how can i control the white balance of the pic? my pics r coming out to white! |
N6600 problem!
After I formated the phone alot of stuff are still in the phone, some works like normal other doesn´t, and I can´t remove them aswell, so they take alot of space in yhe meny, what do you think I should do to remove the ikons frpm my phone??? __________________ I had problem with one game, but the phone is with my brother now so I don't know precisly, but I use FExplorer and find some stuff in System directory and can't remember did I delete something from Application directory also, that belongs to the game, so I delete them and they dissapered from menu. |
How to transfer image from Nokia 7250 to 6600 via IR
I need to transfer images from a Nokia 7250 to a Nokia 6600. I tried doing it with no success. Has anybody tried this? Nokia 6600 and Java Problems
I have downloaded some .jar games and they install without any issues however when opening it shows the opening screen (turning white and game company logo) and then reverts back to the previous screen. just considering to buy a new gsm phone. i m a bit confused(samsung e700, lg 7100, nokia 6600) i guess n as far as i know nokia holds the best screen n picture quality. may i learn pros n cons of nokia 6600? i ve tried the menus just for 4-5 mins, menu speed was so slow. any other comments?? __________________ MasterMind_BJK No sorry the Nokia 6600 display quality is nothing but a disappointment at the same time it is not. a must see n-gage opinion
i brought the n-gage from a friend today to use it for 2 days . in the beginning , i felt realli sick of the phone . i called him up and told him to take the cell as soon as possible casue it litterly "SUCKED". He to was like yes i know but use it for another day . later in the evening i went to the market , and found a guy who was actually dealing in these n-gage games!. i was totally surprised at the rate of the games! . each were for 66$. this made me even more sick of the n-gage. as i was roaming the market , i found a guy who was selling 6 games , + rintones , +vedios , + wallpapers for the n-gage. first i thought it would b one of those "bounce" , "bowling" games . but to my surprise , it was "pandomonium " , "tomb raider" , "tony hawk's" , "sonic" , "flo boarders" , "fed fraction " all in one card!!!. he was giving me the card for 60$. well looking no futher , i invested my money and got the mmc card. conclusion: (1) the screen is the best screen i have seen from nokia so far!. ppl who say 4069 colours are less for gaming , i dont think so at all. At first i thought it would b less , but once i played the games , i think its perfect. (2) the rintones are Freaking loud!! and the ones in mp3 format and acc format are even louder . (3) the speaker phone is the loudest and the best i have seen so far. (4) i recorded a song from the radio and to my surprise , it sounded very very good when kept as a ringtone. bad part: (1) the software is abit unstable at the moment i dunno y . after playing any game , when i exit , my phone becomes silent . i cannot hear any tones , vibration , calls etc untill i restart. (2) all my games are on one mmc card so i dont have to change but for ppl who have to change , this will bcome a headach . (3) battery is a bit less . the games are really addictive and its like "once u pop, u cant stop" but sadly the battery doesnt work tht very long . (4) the phone positioning is awakard but casue the ear piece is quiet loud , u can hear the person from any position. well now i have asked my friend to give me the phone for another week . i think i am falling in luv with it . ppl who say its big etc , PLZ cut the bull.... if any user can use 7650,3650,p900,p800, then y not n-gage?? and i think n-gage would still b a bit smaller and thinner then all the mentioned devices. if only this phone had a popup port for the camera xtension , i would had brought this phone .__________________ yeah but as a gaming machine it fails because the games suck simple as that really |

And that is strange since this one use TFT while SE Z600 use TFD. Tilt them both if you get your chance to compare them even if they shouldnt be compared feature-wise. The menu is also much slower than a normal Nokia. Samsung will overtake Nokia
Samsung's CEO, Lee Kunhee, claims his company will be the world's largest mobile phone supplier by 2010, overtaking Nokia. Kunhee said that Samsung will outperform its own sales targets this year by 2.5m units and will generate $25bn a year from handsets by 2010. pls unlock my MMC!
greetings once again! i am now appealing for some1 to please help me unlock my MMC! i didn't set-up the password but when i configured the MMC setting to ask for a pass, it so happened that it already had a pass... and i didn't know what it was... and it surely wasn't the default pass (12345)! i've already tried full formating my phone and it still prompts me to incode that MMC pass!!! huhu... pls help... and another thing, does using a larger MMC (128MB-above) make the already slow N6600 slower? i mean i just can't imagine how slow it would become if your 128MB MMC is full of stuffs already... true? thanks in advance to those who will reply... __________________ use 0000 maybe will work __________________ i think u better go back to the shop and tell them... __________________ i'm about to go back to the shop with this... thanks anyway guys... |

6600 and game problems
I install few games on MMC and they work fine but now I cant open any and I can't remove them. I get these messages: when I try to open: App. closed AppArcServerTh read when I try to remove: App. closed ChildInstaller How to remove them and what causes the problem?? Thank You __________________ just a guess, but if you connect your phone to you computer just use either Phone manager software or just 'my computer' and then click the mmc card... (it's added to your removable drive's...) and then delete those files or what's mayby also an solution is the boot up in safe mode (start the phone while keeping the pencil key pressed until it boots up) probably a decompression error or that you mmc card isn't accepted hope this will help u __________________ wat is the pencil key on the phone??? can tell me? __________________ I used FExplore to delete games from MMC but now I can't install them again.. i get again error "App. closed ChildInstaller" new sugesttion?? __________________ i had the same problem before when i installed that stupid tomraider1 game! it couldn't be removed anymore and that almost anything that i try to install to my 6600 can't be intsalled because of an error of some sort... here's what i did... i formatted my MMC because it's where i saved my tombraider1 game... if you saved it on your phone memory, you could try to "full format" your phone... but before doing so, make sure you have a back-up copy for your contacts and important stuffs... to full format your phone, follow the steps: 1. have at least 3/4 or 1/2 battery to be safe 2. turn-off your unit 3. Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to swtich on the 6600 phone (do not let go of the 3 keys until you see a "FORMATING" word on the screen. hope i was of any help... good luck! __________________ If I format MMC I will lose all programs from card.
