which is better in this both i am thinking to buy a se k700 when it will be relase which is good ![]() ![]() ![]() __________________ They're both great phones, but in the end it really depends on what you need from a phone, if you really need mp3 and expandable memory then get the 6230, otherwise get the k700, it fixes most of the previous problems of SE phones and the UI and screen are excellent __________________ se k700 will have 1.3 megapixel camera so if you really want a good camera its better than 6230. on the other hand if you care about music and think that a vga camera is sufficient then definitely 6230. 6230 has an mmc slot and a stereo mp3 player, which se k700 will not have, plus it's already out in the market. __________________ k700 does not have 1.3 megapixel camera... still vga but k700 has better video recording, nicer screen and blah __________________ vulture Is k700 is selling in market how much it cost __________________ dxreaper How do you know it has better video recording? It's not even out yet (which answers dubaiboy 's question). __________________ There are samples from the proto versions =) __________________ dubaiboy not out yet price is undetermined as well __________________ Sony Ericsson NL had an article yesterday saying it would be 489 Euros, but I doubt it will be the same everywhere around the world. As for the choice between the two, the phones are very similar when it comes to features, the K700 has nicer themes, a large,r vivid hiresolution screen, higher bit polyphonic ringtones but no possibility for memory expansion. The 6230 does support memory cards, but has a small, lo resolution screen and is also slightly bigger and heavier. __________________ Meaning, the K700 is everything the 6230 is minus expension card, but then with 41mb it's not such a big minus anyway =D.. except being a Nokia which creaks and all after a while... __________________ And what about SE phones RF performance?! ![]() Think twice ! __________________ doesn't affect me.... I've used the T610 and T68i and I got to tell you, the RF performance has NEVER bothered me.... even with 1 bar in the red, it still makes VERY good calls.... while i remembered once we were suppose to call a friend, my friend tried calling on her nokia with 4 bar.. can't get through... and mine with 1 can.... =D __________________ ivansergei i think the RF performance more depends on the place you live and the service provider. BTW, I don't think Nokia's reception and SE reception make so much difference, they are around the same (although nokia is a bit clearer.) in other words, no problems with RF __________________ RF Performance hasn't been too bad with SE phones, but anyone that has reviewed/previewed the phone has commented on the improved reception of the K700 when compared to other phones. http://www.pbase.com/image/28392404.jpg I know the number of bars can't really be used to compare RF from phone to phone, but while the T630 has no reception, the K700 has two bars. __________________ Sorry Memzee....................it has three bars ![]() __________________ They are both good phones but if you really want to use it as a MP3 player, then Nokia 6230 is your choice but remember this, the battery will be used up pretty fast. It is not like a real small MP3 which last for 35 hours or something like that. Sony Ericsson K700 is like a Nokia 6230 but it does things better except from lack of expandable memory. __________________ About SE phones RF performance Try to read the professional measurements made in a 2 million euro laboratory by german mobile phones magazine CONNECT(probably available in other languages/countries too). You'll see that SE phones have/had a RF problem. So please dont tell me stories, Im a SE P900 fan too (I own it), but Im realistic. Thanks, Ivan P.s. And yes, Id already bought a 6230. Im not thinking at a K700 but I might like the new SE P 9XX, even its RF sucks. __________________ dubaiboy K700 is the best specially for you that in Dubai ! with reasonable price ... ! __________________ erm k700 does not have 41mb of memory from what i remember it only has 4mb available or something. they're both pretty small... well average. i can tell u one thing though, i'm confident 6230 has the faster menus even though smaller screen __________________ Mainframe AI K700 has 41MB memory check my thread: http://www.mobile-review.com/forum2/...&threadid=9343 __________________ strange.. Nokia 7700 pre-production model
I have had the oppurtunity to play with the 7700 and its not that bad (shame about the sidetalking tho). The screen and speed are very good. And its symbian interface is eloquent but like all the other series's it pretends to be a computer in terms of its sructure. Its was a pre-production model so a lot of the software was not working but if anybody has any general quetions fire away. __________________ did you had the chance to watch a tv-show or some movies, as it is a full multimedia mobile phone. also and also 7600 question
6230 and 7600 which on have : 1 . louder ring tones 2. longer battery life 3. better screen 4. better mms system 5. louder mp3 music and thank u ...... waiting for reply __________________ 6230 vs 7600 1. don't know 2. 7600 is a wcdma phone so if you call in a wcdma network, more power is needed to make a phone call. but better voice quality. for gsm usage the 7600 can go for 4h call, the 6230 can go up to 5h call... but the 7600 is better with standby 3. the 7600 got a bigger screen 128*160 vs the 6230 128*128, both are 65K. so the screen of the 7600 will be better. 4. they uses the same mms system so no differences, only you got a bigger screen, so more details can be shown... 5. the mp3 system of the 6230 is ingenius, so the 6230 got a better sound system then the 7600. __________________ Actually, the screen on 6230 is better than 7600, since it's less pixelazied. (the pixels on the 7600 are bigger since its a 33x43mm screen on 128x160, while the 6230 is 27.3x27.3mm on 128x128.) __________________ thanks alot __________________ which is better .. samsung e700 or nokia 7600 Mavi forum |

Review prototype Nokia 9500
here is a little review of the new nokia communicator (9500) that will be on the marked end this year... have fun reading... http://www.mobileburn.com/gallery.js...source=HOMETOP __________________ looks interesting __________________ lmao the series 40 screen on the outside of the fone looks so funny compared to the size of the fone __________________ It is quite stupid that Nokia did not make a series 60 on the outside so that there will be programs on the market which can be used when the 9500 is opened and when it is closed, for instance Wayfinder or other navigator programs. Now you must have a very special carkit which has the option of holding the 9500 opened, then you can see the map and direction of the navigator software. Now there is only a carkitholder which holds the 9500 closed and that is not very handy when you are navigating in a car. Series 60 would have solved such as problem. MR __________________ series 60 on the outside is good for some functions, but on the outside they just needed a basic phone features... series 60 means bigger screen, more memory, etc... __________________ more money as well __________________ indeed, and a 9500 is expencive enough... if it's got the same price of the 9210i when first released it's going to be around 900 Euro Mavi forum |

Drop my bluetooth device on the floor...
Just bought my first bluetooth device few days ago...the brand is Micronet...not sure how's the quality...but really surprise for its small size...just a little piece of circuit board with an IC plug on it and cover with plastics... Anyway...I drop my bluetooth on the floor for a few times...this always happened when I try to plug in and plug out the device from my pc... Although it is still functioning well now...but just a question...will this causes damage on the device by dropping it on the floor too oftenly?...(not veru high distance...from the top of my pc to the ground...about 1 meter high) Thanks for advice... ![]() __________________ No, it does not damage. You are allowed to drop it 97 times without any damage if the height is only 1 meter. Sorry, but did you really needed to ask? Mavi forum |

Nokia's phone book capacity
I use with satisfaction a Nokia 3200 that I synchronise with my outlook. It's very disappointing to notice that only one address and one email address are synchronised. Each field (Note, Email, and Address) can contain only 60 characters. So if a postal address (in Outlook) is longer than 60 characters, it won't be completely imported into the phone. Is it the same with all Nokia's phone? I would like to buy the 6230. Could someone tell me if its fields are also 60 characters' limited? Thank you Stéphane __________________ It's the same... Nokia 6510 codes
Hi all! Does any of you guys know any Nokia 6510 codes? And I do not mean unlock codes,as it is already unlocked... ![]() What I am particularly looking for are codes to turn up the volume,as my volume side buttons broke and I can't adjust the volume anymore...And that's not good... ![]() So if you know anything please give me an answer.Probably codes for other Nokia phones work as well on the 6510? ![]() Anyway,I am counting on you guys... ![]() Thanks in advance, cheers ilprincipe P.S.:I've already looked at Howard Forums but didn't find anything.... __________________ you've got a lot of nokia codes to enhance voice quality, read emei, check warrenty, and some shortcuts of menu, but i don't think there is a code for turn up volume... what if you take of the frontcover and try to press buttons on side of the phone with a pencil or something alike, does it work that way? Once volume is set up right, you don't need to do it every day... __________________ yes i do know that..i've tried believe me... ![]() but the problem is that the part under the cover which actually adjusts the volume up is gone...it broke and this tiny part fell out...and now i can't do anything, even with a pencil... i can only adjust the volume down... ![]() i thought there are codes for that, because for samsung phones there are some...where you could adjust the volume with a code...some sort of master-volume??? ![]() i don't know...i mean the phone works ok,but its really a bit quiet the volume is about the 4 th or 5th strength of the 9 available...especially a problem when you are in a cafe or on the street or some other place noisy...it just gets annoying...other than that its almost an "outdoor-mobile"...it's that strong/robust... ![]() ![]() anyway,i appreaciate your help, you were the one i was hoping for... ![]() good night, ilprincipe p.s.: could you please post some codes (not only volume ones, but general) that will work with the 6510? that would be great! ![]() __________________ firmware version *#0000# Emei *#06# Half Full Rate Activate HFR - *4720# Deactivate HFR - #4270# Enhance Full Rate Activate EFR - *3370# Deactivate EFR - #3370# SIM Clock Stop *#746025625# Warenty check-up *#92702689# or *#war0anty# reboot needed after. __________________ and here are some standard gsm codes Call Diverting All To Activate: * * 21 * NUMBER # [SEND] To Cancel: # # 21 # [SEND] To Check: * # 21 # [SEND] No Answer To Activate: * * 61 * NUMBER # [SEND] To Cancel: # # 61 # [SEND] To Check: * # 61 # [SEND] Unreachable To Activate: * * 62 * NUMBER # [SEND] To Cancel: # # 62 # [SEND] To Check: * # 62 # [SEND] Busy To Activate: * * 67 * NUMBER # [SEND] To Cancel: # # 67 # [SEND] To Check: * # 67 # [SEND] To Cancel All Call Forwarding # # 002 # [SEND] Diverting Data Calls All To Activate: * * 21 * NUMBER * 25 # [SEND] To Cancel: # # 21 # * 25 [SEND] To Check Status: * # 21 # * 25 # [SEND] No Answer To Activate: * * 61 * NUMBER * 25 # [SEND] To Cancel: # # 61 * 25 # [SEND] To Check Status: * # 61 # * 25 # [SEND] Unreachable To Activate: * * 62 * NUMBER * 25 # [SEND] To Cancel: # # 62 # * 25 # [SEND] To Check Status: * # 62 # * 25 # [SEND] Busy To Activate: * * 67 * NUMBER * 25 # [SEND] To Cancel: # # 67 # * 25 # [SEND] To Check Status: * # 67 # * 24 # [SEND] Diverting Fax Calls All To Activate: * * 21 * NUMBER * 13 #[SEND] To Cancel: # # 21 # * 13 # [SEND] To Check Status: * # 21 # * 13 # [SEND] No Answer To Activate: * * 61 * NUMBER * 13 # [SEND] To Cancel: # # 61 * 13 # [SEND] To Check Status: * # 61 # * 13 # [SEND] Unreachable To Activate: * * 62 * NUMBER * 13 # [SEND] To Cancel: # # 62 # * 13 # [SEND] To Check Status: * # 62 # * 13 # [SEND] Busy To Activate: * * 67 * NUMBER * 13 # [SEND] To Cancel: # # 67 # * 13 # [SEND] To Check Status: * # 67 # * 13 #[SEND] Call Barring Before you can activate these barring services you will need a barring code from your service provider.
