I'm using a class 1 billionton Bluetooth USB Adaptor, Nokia PC suite 6.1, Phone's firmware is still v3.14.... If any one who knows a better solution for this problem please help me I need an advice badly this BT problem is making me nuts ![]() ![]() ![]() __________________ the new sw 3.15 doens't fix the bluetooth problem... wait for the next one __________________ My phone wont even connect anymore ![]() And everytime i start my computer a little window opens. In the window it says something about Pcsuite and c++. Should I reinstall pc suite? gaah...this makes me mad __________________ you can try reinstall, the best is to first to use Nokia Register Clean 2.0 application, to deleted all your entery's in the register... and then reinstall here is a link http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,54841,00.html#01 __________________ You dont need to Nokia Pc-suit software to transfer files via BT to the phone. I have a built-in BT cart in my Dell 8600 laptop and all I need to do is connect and click the filetransfer icon to open the folder on the MMC cart. You can then copy all kinds of files to the phone. The software for the BT in the laptop is WINCOMM 1.4.1.3 __________________ In regard to those who have problems with Bluetooth transfers I have just joined the club. I recently got my 6230 stolen, so Im on my second one now. The first worked like a breeze but this one keeps crashing then ever Im coping files to the MMC cart. Then it crashes I get an error message "Operation time out" The only difference between the two phones is the fimeware. My lateste phone have 3.15 while the first had 3.14. I dont thing its a fireware problem so Im planing on turning the phone in for a new one. Since I can't see what else it could be! If anyone have a opinion let me know. __________________ or you can wait for a new software version, or you can tranfer files with a datacable, IR or a external MMC card reader... __________________ I bought n6230 coz Nokia claimed that it has a seamless Bluetooth connectivity ![]() ![]() __________________ well I believe in total freedom and are therefore not using the PC-suit software for BT transfering. So the IR and USB option is not an option. Unless they make a fimrware updata that enables the phone via USB to be discorvered as a Mass Storage device, where you don't need extra software for usage. Which I by the way find total disbelievable in the first place. The whole concept of the mobility of the phone just goes out the window. I know this is limiting my own options but its just a princip I have. What firmware do you have Ponggie? __________________ TreyPocca my firmware version is v3.14 and the BT sucks even w/ or w/out the nokia pc suite 6.0 and 6.1; I also use the ftp of the BT adaptor I have but the phone can receive up to approx. 5mb I think, larger than that I think you'll need the Nokia PC Suite and direct the transfer to it's MMC ![]() __________________ With my old 6320 I had no problmes with transfering multiple files. Think the largest trasfer was something like 150MB. It sounds like its the hardware in the phone and not the firmware thats the problem. __________________ 150mb ![]() ![]() __________________ well it wasn't a single 150MB file but numerous - the largest single file was between 10-15MB.
