Nokia 7600

Hi,

Is it possible to change the look of the menu icons on the N7600? The defaults are quite ugly.. Other then that, the phone is rather impressive. No hanging so far.

It's also rather cool to have mp3 as a ringtone. Would also like to know if there are any users out there who share this experience: When ringtone is set to a polyphonic tone in the TONES folder, the vibration alert doesn't work. Think this is the first bug I found.

i don't think is possible for changing the icon's, it's still a nokia 40 serie and not symbian OS, it's possible to change the wallpaper, that's no problem

i remember that in the earlier day's it was possible to change every icon, like on the 8310 i changed all my icon's with other ones, but don't know if it's still possible with new phones, i think they are more secure.

Since the ITU's definition of 3G is a mobile device capable of speeds exceeding 144kbps, and the 7600 is capable of packet data speeds up to 384kbps, the 7600 is a 3G handset.

yeh but its not really a video fone...

i know its technically a 3G fone but i dont see it as a 3G handset for sum reason, lol i dunno

it seems dumb but i think a full 3rd generation fone has to have a video call feature and the 7600 dosent have that

I agree, videocalling should be a standard. But it seems Nokia are incapable at the moment.

Nokia are not incapable, they just made a choice to utilise the high speed data of 3G. They have bigger and better things in store for the 3G networks than silly video calling!

Not everyone wants video calling, what happens when video calling becomes common place, Just picture it....you pleasuring the girlfriend and the phone goes, its your mother! surley its rude not to answer using video calling? She would automaticly think something is up if you didn't look her in the eye?

There is no such thing as Series 45. All the phones you listed above belong to Series 40, see here for example.

The phones I mentioned above have a different O/S which supports the 5 way navi key, Nokia may not publish this fact.
