Non-B/T and IR connection from 6600 to PC

Dear all,
Hi, this is my very first post on this forum though I've been visiting here for quite a while now. I will be getting a 6600 very soon but from what I have read, it seems like the 6600 can only be connected to a computer via bluetooth or infrared, and not via datacables. If this is accurate, are there any other alternatives available or do I have to buy a b/t or IR adaptor for my pc? Hope to hear from you all and thanks in advance
Regards,
Chung

first of all welcome to this forum.
strange enough the nokia 6600 doesn't support Pop-port, so indeed you need a ir-adaptor or a bluetooth doggle...
but the morecost isn't that big between a datacable or an ir or bluetooth adaptor... I suggest you buy a bluetooth adaptor because that is more likely the future, infrared will disapear when time get's further...

I would also suggest a BT adaptor, I have one and I use it with the 3650, 7650 and 6310i. They work just fine.
Anyway, If you have other phones with IR only (no BT) maybe you could choose an IR adaptor because it will work with the other phones.

Thank you for your prompt responses I have checked out the prices for various B/T dongles and was surprised as to how affordable they were. I am now eagerly awaiting the arrival of my 6600. I am overseas right now and will be going home shortly, and hopfully by then a software upgrade could occur or various bugs resolved. Once again, thank you so much for all your quick responses, it has been very helpful.
Regards,
Chung
