Not bad....but it looks too plasticky, just like most Nokias.
The model number is a bit dodgy too.

it's far more better than the 5100, that one was really ugly and fat, this looks better... much better and quite good specifications...

Bad display and no BT.

It already has a VGA camera and video capture, I don't think Bluetooth is really necessary in this class of phone.
The feature set is quite impressive, although the screen is a disappointment.

I don't mind to its model numbering, but I just can't stand with its completely plastic outlook...
I know almost all Nokia's phones have plastic covers, but this one is definately the worst from all...
My godness, seemed it is deliberately reveals the plastic material... I believe it is meant for youth range in mid class, but such as appearance is an insult of youth taste... I'm not talking about its design cause I find it quite attractive, but I really look down of its color combination... Don't you think it'll be nicer if the color patern take N3100 example, or a solid paint to cover the plastic material such as on N7250 for example...

i dont know y but i dont like the look of metal/aluminium wateva looking fones...

i much prefer 'plasticky' looking fones as most ppl refer 2 here...this muct be y i like nokia so much, this is a very good looking fone,it reminds me very much of the 5210 the first water, shock and dust proof fone nokia bought out(if u dont count the 6250).the 5210 was a very good fone and i still use it occasionally.the 5100 was just very ugly and the buttons very hard 2 push but now this 5140 looks very very nice...
just my opinion i guess

Yes, but this phone is marketed as a phone for 'active' people.

Surely it'd be of help to 'active' people if they could use BT headsets, so they don't have wires everywhere.

Well, there's nothing wrong with holding the phone to their ear.

This one looks really ugly and plastic like most Nokias out there do but it's rather nice feature wise with push to talk, radio and digital compass.

You can use Wireless Audio Adapter with it, if you want to use BT headset, Nokia Wireless Audio Adapter

Whats the point with the wildlife purpose of this phone if you use and adapter?
This one is made for rough using.

I like its digital compass, radio is not necessary for me...
It'll be great to have digital compass on my phone, so I know on which direction I am all the time...
Talking about FENG SHUI...

But judging by the accuracy of the 5100's thermometer, I don't think the 5140's digital compass will be very accurate.

The good thing about having plastic cover like Nokia's phones is it always can be rejuvenated, the phone physical always look new... But the most annoying thing is its creaking sound, very unpleasant to hear...
When I bought my N7250 for the first time, the cover feels good and doesn't make a creaking sound... Then after I replaced the SIM Card of the phone for a couple of times, the cover became a bit loosen and started to annoyed me...

You probably right...
Well, as long it doesn't miss in too much degree still acceptable... At least I know whether I am in North, South, East, or West position...

Don't ask me. I was just answering the question about the BT headset issue.

But, I don't see the adapter as a problem if I'm jogging or cycling. Active doesn't have to mean rough in a sense of using the phone as baseball bat or as a ball.

You don't have any problem with craking sound from your SE T610

good built quality

Well, a bit creaking too around the display part, but I do not touch that part often... Not as mine N7250, it makes an annoying sound whenever I hold it on my palm a bit strong...

the only time i hear my fones creaking is when i really squeeze the fone hard in my palm, thats it and i dont do that very often

i dont understand y many ppl complain about nokia 'creaking' because every nokia fone i have used has never 'creaked'...

plastic covers are good, because u can change them wenever u want and if u get a scratch on the screen it is easy 2 replace...
