Hi, can anyone tell me if the 6230 can play mp3's as a ringtone? __________________ V600 yes, read review on site please __________________ yes it can... The supported sound formats for ringing tones are polyphonic (MIDI) and scalable polyphonic (SP-MIDI) ringing tones, as well as traditional Nokia ringing tones (monophonic tones) and AMR NB (narrowband) __________________ kristof.vanriet do they support 320kb/sec mp3 ringtone? I am quite interested in this nokia phone. __________________ i thought true tones ARM are max. 25 Kbs at 16 Khz, so if you convert a mp3 song to ARM the 300Kbs will go lost... But you also can play mp3 files directly as ringingtone, but i don't know if it's been modified while playing... what I think is that you can play at any rate (also 320Kbs) but it's not that qualitive... it's comming out of a very small tweater... __________________ sunystory@hotmail.com Not 100% sure, but in general very heavy ringtone is not a good idea, since sound system init for such a tone could take too long so it will revert to a standard ringtone in order to alert you in time Mavi forum |
