Which do you prefer and why? Thanks guys... __________________ Symbian of course __________________ I'm looking for more a reason why though. I realize that Symbian is a more robust OS, allowing the user to use a number of applications. However, I also hear of problems resulting in crashes and delays...I'm just curious to know if the benefits outweigh the cons. Thanks again for any input... ![]() __________________ I prefer symbian phones... yup you are right...a lot of applications for symbian cause crashes and bring problems...but I just always read through some professional forums and seach for solutions...so far I am happy playing with my 6600... Series 40 phones is much stable compare to the symbian phone...however...symbian phone will be much more interesting if you are prefer to spend more time on your phone.... so it just depends on whether u wan a stable phone for normal usage??...or u wanna have a great challenge from the symbian phone... __________________ depends how much u want out of a fone and wat purpose ur fone is used for __________________ Series 40 are solid and you can't change a lot... Software must be Java what is good, but not that good. Java can't access a lot of features like a symbian game/program can. The menu is not changable what has his avantages that it's easier to use and you can work faster with it. Series 40 are designed for small screen 128 x 128 and optimised for it. Series 60 is symbian based, so you can change wall paper, a little bit the UI (add themes like you can do with windows). Use full program's, some are really good like Opera (webbrowser) RealOne (movie) Remote control (remote control by IR for TV, Radio etc)... and much more other standard features like Java (MIDP 2.0), CLDC 1.0, Wireless Messaging, Mobile Media, and Bluetooth; XHTML browsing over TCP/IP; MMS messaging with SMIL; and OMA DRM (forward-lock)... Series 60 is also better because it's optimised for bigger screens 176 x 208 (more data on one screen) __________________ Symbian any day. The apps are much better. Series 40 is restricted to 128x128 pixels. That isn't good. __________________ But the series 40 is much smaller in size...much stable in the firmware...easier to use... __________________ Not that much easier to use. And I don't mind big phones. The functionality is what I care about. __________________ ya right...but my symbian 6600 is kinda very sensitive..a lot of 3rd party applications are unable to use in my 6600...causes lots of clashes....I dunno why...
