6600 language options

hi my cousin just brought me a brand new nokia 6600 from china and its workin but the language is in chinese, i can read it but does anyone know how to change it to english?

in tools you find settings, then go to phone settings and then go to phone language...
no the problem is that it's chinese so you'll have to do it by guessing;
the icon of settings is a screwdiver and a wheel, click on this; then go to second line/option and click it and then click the first option, these are normaly the language settings...

Unless it's changed since January but the chinese version of the 6600
does not have english menus. The phone can read and display english
but the menus can't be changed to english

than we have another problem...
go to a nokia service center and ask if they are willing to do a software flash with language files of europe... probably you're going to pay for this...

Yes, not only is having to flash the software a problem,
but that officially Nokia Service Centres are not allowed to change the
language pack even if they were nice enough to change it for you like
they were to me you would have to pay for it since the phones warrenty
is not valid outside the region in which it was sold.

i was charged 25euro for the firmware upgrade, depending where you are
i suggest you get an independant service centre to do the firmware
upgrade like gsmphonesource.com
