or just found it, (i'll try to explain it in icon language, normaly these are the same in Taiwanesian)
first click on the icon with 2 wheels and a screwdiver on it (settings icon)
after that, click the icon with an image of a phone and a screwdiver, normaly the first icon (phone setting icon)
and now i just a guess, but try to click the first option (general settings) and then click again the first option and that is normaly the language setting, and go down the list untill you find enlish.
Or click 6 - 1 - 1 - 1 and then select the the language you want but don't know if these shortcuts work on a 6600... but it's worth a try

Thanks for your helping. I found the menu point but they is no other language to choose as the asia. I did it also together my taiwan friend. I can choose only asia languages. It´s another solution to get the language i need?

There is such a thing called Language Pack which are installed on the phone just like the firmware.

The only way you can change it is if you re-flash the unit with the firmware/language pack from the region you want to use it in.

Nokia will NOT do this for you! You will have to make friends with a Nokia service point engineer!!! He has all the equiptment and software to do it. I doubt that anyone else could do it for you.

Nokia did a very bad job in building the 6600....it left out chinese language in its software!!!!.....what a joke...if the 6600 is supported chinese version...I am sure that I already have one in my hand.....aikksss....

no that's not true, chinese language is supported if you buy it in china, what sddr2001 ment that it didn't support English in the Asian/taiwan version, that's strange

I think most Nokia Service Centers have no problem changing the language pack for you. If you do encounter any problems, the trick is, tell them there is some kind of software related fault with your phone. They'll flash the software and automatically it will have the local language pack on there.

I have done this many times where I have bought Nokia phones outside of Greece (mainly in the UK) and they don't come with Greek. I take them into the store, say "oh I have a problem, screen freeze.. whatever", they flash it and it comes out with the Greek language pack on it.

I have checked it out...there are 2 versions of 6600....

One is ENGLISH VERSION...which it uses english as its main language...there are some other languages but not included Chinese....so....6600 english version can't view chinese words....

Another one is Chinese version...which it uses chinese as its main language...unfortunately, a chinese version of 6600 can't view english words....

So....what a fool...neither one of the version suit me to use in Malaysia....!!!....

NOKIA!!!!....give me a new software with chinese + english!!!!
