Hi Just got the 6230 today and started using the Bluetooth functions right away since the BT and MP3 player combination are the main reason I got the phone in the first place. It seems that I can only copy one song or a certain amount of data to the musicfolder on the phone before I get one of several diffenrent error messages like - "File sharing error occurred on your computer" or "FTP timeout occured" or just "connetion lost" Have any1 experienced the same problems and does any1 know how to fix them? PS: I do not use the Nokia PC-suit to tranfers file to the phone. __________________ have you tried Pc suite to transfer files allready? there is a file manager in this suite... otherwise, which program do you use?, it's probably a problem with the program, mayby it doesn't support the 6230 yet. __________________ I just use the BT connection in my computer like a flashdrive. I think I have figured it out and how disapointed am I - It seems you can't access the MMC-cart without taking it out!!! How dumb is that! Thats the reason I get the error messages the internal memory is full. I really hope Nokia is going to release some new software really fast to make this possible. __________________ you can acces the MMC card as it is in your phone, you just need the proper drivers, in this case you'll need pc suite to do it. Nothing strange about that... __________________ But how stupit is this - the whole point in the Bt technology just goes down the drain! One need to be able to access all the storage capacity just like a flashdrive. There's no point in having a MP3 player if you need to install software every time you want to exchains songs with your friends. __________________ Its me again bitching. Been playing around with the Pc-suit and have so far not been able to access the MMC-cart. Can't do it with the content manager and the audio manager can't tranfers to the MMC-cart all though it can read the amount of space left on the MMC-cart. This bites. __________________ I had the same problems as you, but I think I know what the problem is. You have to give a name to the mmc card first, because otherwise the software can't see it. Even after that try restarting the phone before using the browser. This way I have no problems any more when using pc suite. However I keep on getting "ftp service not found" sometimes when I go through the BT software... i don't know why. What I do know is that my PC doesn't even try to connect before having this error, because I don't see any authorisation request on my phone. I think I 'll stick to PC suite. PS. Does anybody know anything about the bug of mp3 ringing for caller groups while in silence? __________________ Can you specify where you name/rename your MMC cart? __________________ Quote:
Go to "Gallery" and find your MMC. Then press "Options" and select "Rename mem. card". I hope it works for you ![]() __________________ Your're the man!! Renamed the MMC-cart and I can now access the danm thing without the nokia PC-suit just using standard BT connection! Thank you - man, I've been sweating the last couple of hours over this. Really had some serious thoughs about turning the phone in. Mavi forum |
