I just want to say OH MY GOD

Yes, they have to do something to turn the tide. They're expected to do better than this. The market grew 25% and Nokia only grew 19% or something.

that is when you become to experimental, before the 6230, 5130 and 9500 there were no really good mobile phones announced except a few once... there own fault. and they missed some trends like clamshell etc...
it's been 2 years since we saw a new premium class phone and still waiting...
so they made a few mistakes...
They just need a new bestseller (like the 3310) to gain marked again, althow the 6230 is doing very good together with the 7200...

yeah 3310 was a bestseller, 6230 also is probably gonna do great, but ngage was like a huge drop...

nokia claims experimental is "innovation"

I don't get it either. I've lost thousands of euros just in seconds...

share price fell because nokia holding back handsets, and midrange is weak for them.
id imagine they'll easily recover next year.
n-gage 2 is actually quite good, its *MUCH* smaller now and better keypad, no sidetalk, and not horizontal (more like the old gameboy now), looks like a phone with removable cartridges. something about it reminds me of t610.

8xxx was actually held back a lot because they don't want current 8910i owners etc to get upset with fast updates. the designs/tech has been ready for a long time. I think it was mistake they didnt show those at cebit, but maybe because it was buggy still. still, S700 etc was buggy but still there.

Sorry for my inconvinience but I was stressed when I wrote that.
Of course it was 13.5 billion EUR.
The share fell with 17 per cent.

spokeman of Nokia; Due to certain gaps in its product portfolio, mainly in the mid range, the company was not able to fully capitalize on positive market developments...

And another one;
So rather than the industry being in bad shape, it looks like Nokia, the cell phone market leader, might have not been able to meet demand for some higher priced phones (think color screens and camera phones). As a result, it may have lost some share to competitors such as Samsung, Siemens and even Motorola, said Greg Gorbatenko, an analyst with Marquis Investment Research

Sorry I would not recommend someone to buy Nokia share at the moment.
I really don't want to do any recommendation at all but I have to disagree with you

why not, they are very low (17) and i don't think they will fall down further, the basic of 15 points still remains. In a few months they'll grow up to 20-25 very easy...
That's always after such an anouncement, first they overreact and later it cools down...

This was just a statement what to expect on the April the 16th...

if you buy now you will prob make a profit next year because nokias new 3g handsets at the end of the year basically have no competition afaik (current motos are just ugly compared to 8xxx etc). Z1030 design is only one I can imagine will look good against those. (K1 is still very early stages). maybe more from compeition. But I have a feeling they've shown most of their stuff, and nokia is now going to capitalize on this. No more experimental rubbish, most of their upcoming stuff is just very very good (and there's a lot of it).
